Okay I know that the bible says to honor our mothers but uhm......well.......err........Let's see
I was watching television late the other night and saw something where the cameras were following around Allen Iverson's mother. Lawd Jesus! Come on. The whole show was so embarrassing. She had us up in the beauty shop while she got her tracks sewn in and she was acting like a groupie when she met up with LL Cool J (not that the rest of us wouldn't), she was in the fish shack, playing bingo and everything else. Newsflash momma! Allen is the star and you are his mother.
Recently Lebron James mother rand own on the court trying to fight some player that LeBron was arguing with. Uhm.....Can you not go to your son's job clowning. If he were a judge would you go in the court room and cuss out a defendant or plaintiff that didn't agree with his judgment.
Let's not forget Frankie, Keysia Cole's mother. I won't even get into half the things we've seen her do on the show and then she was "interesting" acting at the BET awards on the red carpet.
So I've decided to start a business. It's called Momma's R Us, When your mother just won't do we have a momma for you. LOL
Here at Momma's R Us we have a wonderful selection of charming and eloquent "mommas". They are available to accompany you to press conferences, award shows, reality shows, dinner and anywhere else where there might be a photo op. Our mommas are well coifed well spoken and well heeled. They will never embarrass you. You don't have to worry about them getting drunk and clowning in public. They won't wear tracks that don't match their skin tone and they definitely wont wind up on mediatakeout.com
Goodnight!

No you didn't - Part 2
Okay,
So I started my blog talking about Jesse. I was done. I was finished. He's a hater and I've moved on but now I'm sitting here watching the evening news and I hear that he referred to Obama by the N word. Jesse you are going to make me cuss hard. Apparently Fox news has not released the transcripts as of yet but it will be interesting to see what develops from this.
You know I'm not saying that Jesse isn't entitled to opinions about Barack's comments about the African American community. What I AM saying is that he should have made his comments in the comfort of his home or at least at his baby momma's house. OOPS did I say that?

Watch your mouth!
Remember when you were little and your mother would say, "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all?" You would have to remember that. That's one of the old standards in the "handbook for mommies." Do you ever think of her words now that you are an adult? I know I am notorious for saying the first thing that comes to mind; whatever it may be, regardless of who is around. Since I've become a mother I've tried hard to "censor" what I say at the very least around my child. I don't want my negative comments to crowd her toddler thoughts.
I'm sure many of you have figured out that I'm talking about what Jesse Jackson had the nerve to say about Obama on NATIONAL television the other day. Talk about "hate" on a whole new level. First of all, for a man to talk about another man's genitals or "nuts" as Jesse referred to them is wrong on a whole DIFFERENT level. I honestly don't believe that statement had anything to dow with Obama's speech. I really believe that Jesse is upset that he wasn't able to accomplish what Obama has. I also believe that we are all here for a purpose, so essentially no one needs to be upset or hate on another because we are all living out our divine plan. In other words, JESSE the reason you never achieved what Obama has is because you were not supposed to. As there are things that Jesse has done that Obama will never do.
On a deeper level, as a people we need to rally behind Obama. Even if he is not our particular candidate of choice we need to encourage and uplift him every chance we get. He doesn't need us to get on television and start talking about his nuts. Everyday there's another racist, article, magazine cover, interview, book, blog or whatever about him. Let's not add to this man's grief. Let's be where this man can find relief. We don't know when we will reach this paramount again. So we need to enjoy this ride as long as it lasts.
Although I wasn't born when Martin Luther King talked about reaching that "mountaintop" I believe that we are headed in that direction and I for one am going to do everything I can to support the one leading the pack.
